KIND hearted Hollie Hodin pitched up alongside market traders at the weekend to raise money for charity.

The eight-year-old from Eccleston raised £160 for Cancer Research after setting up shop in St Mary’s Market.

Mum Colette Speed, 31, said: “She has lost family to cancer so it is a charity close to her heart. She does something every year for charity and has wanted to do this for a while.

“She sold all sorts of this from DVDs to toys and really enjoyed it. She’s also been making charm bracelets since the summer and said I need a place to sell them.

“She has the biggest heart you can find. Ever since the age of two her ambition has been to be a nurse at Whiston Hospital.”

The Eccleston Mere pupil was given the pitch at the Makers' Market free of charge and any stock which she failed to sell on the day will be donated to charity.
