POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of a 31-year-old man from St Helens who has been missing from his home since Tuesday.

Michael Curran was last seen on Clipsley Lane at around 3pm on Tuesday getting on a 20A service bus heading for St Helens.

Michael is described as white, 5ft 9in tall and of a medium build. He has a fair complexion, short dark hair and a moustache.

He is originally from Londonderry in Northern Ireland and speaks with a strong Northern Irish accent.

When he was last seen he is believed to have been wearing a black waterproof coat, grey jeans and black and white Adidas trainers. He also had a red baseball cap on with a silver emblem on the front.

Michael often frequents the grounds of St Mark's Church in Haydock. Officers also believe that he may have travelled to Liverpool city centre and may be in the Lime Street area, including St John's Shopping Arcade.

Extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish his whereabouts.

Officers are appealing to Michael, or anyone who knows where he is, to contact them as soon as possible on the 101 number. People can also call the charity Missing People on 116000.
