Cllr Almond at the Christmas lights switch on in Peasley Cross
A FORMER mayor of St Helens has been re-elected by the members of Carers UK as a national trustee.
Town centre councillor Geoff Almond is currently a vice-chair of the charity which provides support for carers.
He is treasurer of the St Helens Carers Centre.
