THE Clone Roses are looking forward to their hometown return as they look to thrill the Citadel crowds once more.

The Stone Roses tribute will be going back to the venue for their annual Citadel performance this Saturday (November 22).

With the Stone Roses having reformed to make a comeback in 2012, the Clones have updated their show to pay tribute to the Manchester band to re-live those memorable nights of 2012 and 2013.

They have managed to acquire the same instruments and exact same clothing as The Roses’ recent shows and the set-list is almost identical to the Heaton Park gigs. They include all the classics in their set such as ‘Waterfall’ ‘Made of Stone’ ‘This is the One’ and of course ‘I am the Resurrection’.

“We will go around the country in this current tour and we’re playing at places like Newcastle, Birmingham and London but St Helens is our hometown and we always enjoy playing there and sell it out every year,” said Clone Roses singer Gavin Scott.

The band has been at it for the past 17 years and still enjoy thrilling crowds with the songs of the rock legends.

“We still enjoy doing it and we are getting really good crowds because people love the music of the Stone Roses and it is a good opportunity to listen to the songs,” added Gavin.

The group will be supported on the night by Clint Boon who will bring his DJ set beforehand.

The doors will open at 7.30pm for the gig very few tickets remaining. Call 01744 735436 for booking information.
