GREATER Manchester Police have confirmed that they will not be taking any criminal action against Ben Flower after he punched Lance Hohaia in the Grand Final.

The Wigan prop, who issued a public apology to the Saints player has since been banned for 13 matches including ten Super League games.

Flower was the first player to be sent off in a Super League title decider after knocking out Hohaia with a right hook before punching him in the face as he lay motionless on the ground.

GMP said investigations into Twitter death threats made against Flower via social media are ongoing.
