TWO town centre stores will be relocating in a bid to secure a big name high street brand to Church Square Shopping Centre.
The move will see Pandora move into Thorntons' current spot, freeing up space to make the jewellery chain's existing store and the empty former JJB Sports shop into one giant unit.
It is understood shopping centre bosses are in negotiations with a retailer, whose identity they want to keep confidential until a deal is struck.
Church Square Shopping Centre manager Steve Brogan said: “Thorntons is switching to a unit nearer to our Bridge Street entrance that is more suitable for the company’s needs.
“Pandora will be moving into the unit left vacant which will allow them to better display their ranges of jewellery.
“This in turn frees up a large space that we hope will attract well known brands to the centre.”
