A 56-YEAR-old man has admitted stealing almost £27,500 from his mother following a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court.
Timothy Brinkman from Powell Drive in Billinge pleaded guilty to five thefts between January 2009 and October 2012.
Court heard that the total he admitted stealing from his mother Ruth Brinkman was £27,435. Mrs Brinkman died in January.
Defence barrister David Morton told the judge that Brinkman pleaded guilty on the basis that “when his behaviour began he had every expectation and intent to repay the money but did not because of his financial situation, his loss of income through loss of employment.”
Brinkman was remanded on bail and is due to be sentenced on Wednesday, October 15.
Judge Thomas Teague QC warned him that being granted bail was no indication of the sentenced to be imposed.
