AN adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s most controversial play will be shown in a special screening at Cineworld cinema on Sunday, September 21.

A filmed version of the play Salomé will be broadcast, followed ‘Wild Salomé’, a documentary that captures the enormous challenges Al Pacino faced in performing in the play while simultaneously directing these two features.

The original tragedy play was banned during late 19th Century London, and is a scintillating tale of lust, greed and revenge follows the legend of King Herod and his lust for his young stepdaughter, Salomé and her sexual baiting of John the Baptist.

After the film and documentary there will then be a question and answer session hosted by Stephen Fry and featuring Pacino and Jessica Chastain, which will be broadcasted live to cinemas across the British Isles.
