A MUCH improved secondary school is recruiting a new head teacher.
Haydock High’s previous head teacher Andy Pollard left the post over the summer after four years in charge.
During his tenure the school took significant strides, scoring a mark of good in its 2013 Ofsted report and achieving better exam grades.
The job, which comes with a salary of between £68,279 and £79,081, is advertised on St Helens Council’s website until today (Thursday).
Dee Griffiths is currently the school’s acting head.
