JUGGLING three children and starting a new business is no easy task but one St Helens mum certainly has the recipe for success.

Three years ago Vicki Storey created Kids'R'Us Party Entertainment and now she is celebrating after being nominated for a national mumpreneur award.

The 36-year-old who lives on Congress Gardens, in Thatto Heath, St Helens, is mum to nine-year-old Ethan, seven-year-old Preston and three-year-old Jackson and it was her children that inspired her to set up her own business in June 2011.

Vicki, who is married to Phil, said: "When we had Preston christened, Ethan was two-and-a-half and we wanted someone at the party who would entertain the children without having them sit down and watch a show.

"The company we found wasn't around when Jackson was christened so I decided to start my own business."

Vicki has a team of eight people she can call on to help with face painting, dancing games and competitions as well as entertaining youngsters with a play parachute, bubble making machine and a limbo stick at birthday parties, christenings and corporate events.

The Mumpreneur Awards 2014 is the first national awards dedicated solely to parents in business and is now in its sixth year.

Vicki said: "The last three years have just been amazing, mind blowing really.

"You never quite know what to expect when you turn up to a party or an event but I love children and it's always so much fun.

"The business has really taken off and we've also just started doing baby sensory groups and music and movement classes for toddlers."

Vicki will find out next month whether she has made the short list with the final awards ceremony taking place on November 8 at The Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire.
