LIVING the life of a film star may be something a lot of seven-year-old boys day dream about but for one that became a reality at Cineworld cinema on Sunday.

Clark Doyle got to enjoy the “red carpet” experience at a special showing of his film Dimension Zero in which he stars as Tiger.

Clark was diagnosed with the currently incurable muscle-wasting disease Duchenne muscular dystrophy three years ago. He takes steroids to slow the condition down and has physiotherapy, but as he gets older the condition will get worse as he will gradually lose the use of his legs and become totally reliant on his wheelchair.

But Clark enjoyed the perfect day, donned in a blazer and sunglasses, and even a limousine ride to the cinema. Clark wrote the script for the 12-minute film and went to London to film the sci-fi story which also stars Clark’s dad, Mike, 32.

The film was made possible by the Make-A-Wish foundation which grants seriously ill children a wish.

“The day went really well, we thought how can we make him look like a film star for the day?” said Clark’s mum, Katy.

“He had a red carpet outside and it said “Dimension Zero” on the door outside, it was fantastic.

“He literally can’t stop talking about it and they showed it at his school on Monday and all day long he had people saying I love your film. “The wish has really boosted Clark’s confidence.”
