POLICE say enquiries are ongoing into a traffic collision in which a nine-year-old boy was hurt.
Officers were called to West End Road in Haydock at about 2.30pm last Friday (August 29) following reports that a boy had been in collision with a car.
A police spokesman said: "Emergency services attended at the scene and found the boy with minor injuries. He was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been discharged.
"The driver of the car stopped a short distance from the scene and subsequently attended at a police station. He is continuing to assist officers with their enquiries.
"An investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident is continuing.
"Anyone with information who hasn't already spoken to the police can call officers from the Roads Policing Unit on 0151 777 5747."
