A MAN has been charged with an offence of sexual touching against a young girl.
Steven Huddart, 24, from Drybeck Grove was remanded in custody and is due to appear before magistrates this morning.
A MAN has been arrested following an allegation of sexual assault against a young girl last night (Wednesday August 27).
Officers were called to a property at around 6.45pm following reports that she had been inappropriately touched by a man at a house in St Helens.
It is believed that neither the arrested man or the girl live at the address.
A 24-year-old man from St Helens was subsequently arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. He has been taken to a police station where he remains in custody for questioning.
A police spokesman said this was an isolated incident and enquiries are ongoing.
