CHILDREN'S charity Happy Days has raised funds, enabling 25 children from St Helens to go on a day trip to Stockley Farm.

The children and their carers from the Caterpillar Club - a group for disabled children aged seven to 17 - will visit the Cheshire attraction on September 7.

The Caterpillar Club allows children with disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy and severe learning difficulties to take part in arts, crafts and dance sessions - things they would not be able to access at mainstream clubs.

Nicola Tamke, from the Happy Days charity, said: "This trip to Shockley Farm is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience a day out with their friends, a trip that most of us take for granted."
