A MAN suffered a serious head injury after he was attacked in broad daylight with a brick by a gang of males.
Police were called to Lascelles Street in Parr at 12.15pm on Thursday, August 14 follow.
The 23-year-old victim was taken hospital and has since been discharged.
The five offenders, who had a black dog with them, made off on foot in the direction of the Finger Post shopping centre.
Detective Constable Lesley Sanderson said: “We are still trying to establish the motive for this senseless attack, which has left the victim with a serious head injury. The assault took place in broad daylight and I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident to call police.
"I would like to reassure the community that we take incidents of this nature very seriously and are determined to find the people responsible.”
