A THIEF has been given a community order after admitting breaking into a shed and stealing a specialised racing bike and power drill worth £800.

Joshua Bacon, 23, from Rimmer Grove in Parr, pleaded guilty to stealing a Sirrus cycle from a shed on Dentons Green in July.

Bacon was placed under curfew for 16 weeks and will be tagged.

He was also fined a total £245 which will be deducted from his benefits.
