THE parents of Connor Marsden have thanked everyone who has offered their support since his death.

Connor was 17 when he died from skin cancer after developing a tumour on his leg. Throughout his life Connor, from Blackbrook, battled Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) an extremely rare condition which causes the skin to break and blister at the slightest knock.

Cath, 49, said: “There are too many people to name individually, but I would like to thank Father Dooley from Blackbrook St Mary’s for a beautiful service and everyone who donated money. We received more than £700 and money is still coming in.

“It will be going to EB Specialist Nurse Jackie Denyer at Great Ormond Street Hospital where Connor was treated.

“Connor had a phobia of needles and found the play room on Penguin Ward helped put his mind at ease.

“Me and Allan, his dad, want to help other children with similar fears and get more equipment in the play room.”
