A MAN has been arrested following a police chase in the early hours of the morning (Friday, August 1).

At around 2.30am police patrols were called to a black BMW being driven erratically on Marshalls Cross Road.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and following a short pursuit the driver stopped the car and ran off.

A short time later officers arrested a 27-year-old man in Peasley Cross on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop.

He was taken to a police station for questioning.

No one was hurt during the incident.
