ALL those who took part in this year’s Race for Life at Haydock Park are being asked to make their efforts count and hand over their sponsor money as quickly as possible.
Once again thousands took part in the colourful event which has established itself as an important date in the calendar.
Maria Montgomery, Race for Life event manager said: “I want to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part and their supporters as well as our heroic volunteers.
“Now I am asking all the women who took part and all the friends, families and colleagues who pledged to sponsor them to transform their passion into progress by returning the money they’ve made.
“Cancer Research doesn’t receive any Government funding for its groundbreaking work so every single individual contribution matters.
“So whatever the amount we’re asking everyone to make every effort to return their sponsorship money as soon as possible.”
