THE town centre will once again come alive with the sights and sounds of entertainment and spectacle with the return of the Summer Streets Festival.

There will be three days of performances from a host of top class talent featuring music, dance, acrobatics, jugglers, theatre and comedy.

Kicking off on Thursday, July 31, performances are all free and run from 11am to 4pm.

This year some of the star attractions include Saurus, a set of roaming dinosaurs, Candyman who has twice been crowned world champion human statue and puppet show The Aerialists.

Council leader Barrie Grunewald said: “Summer Streets forms a key part of our comprehensive town centre event programmes designed to provide support to our town centre retailers and provide residents and visitors with a range of cultural opportunities in the heart of the town centre.”
