THE second ‘Rainford Summer Festival 2014’ takes place today and will include live music, an international food court and an artisan market.
Hosted by Rainford High Technology College, the event is designed to showcase the school's new facilities, talented students, and offer a celebration for the village community.
Principal Ian Young said: “Last year was an amazing day and we were thrilled to see so many local people join us for our celebration of both the school and our village.
"Rainford is a vibrant community and the festival is a great opportunity to show just what the area has to offer for everyone.
"We are very excited about this event, which reflects the school ethos of Everyone Matters, Everyone Helps and Everyone Succeeds by showcasing talent from both the school and the Rainford community.”
