Motorists warned of roadworks

First published in News

MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays on Knowsley Road in Eccleston, between Wednesday July 9 and Sunday, July 13.

Footway and carriageway resurfacing at a new roundabout will see temporary traffic signals operating at the junction of Knowsley Road, Millfields and Holme Road.

The work will continue throughout the weekend of Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July.

St Helens Council has apologised for any disruption that the works cause.

So you start work on a route that is being used as a diversion for those motorists who now find Church Road/ Millfields closed for works by United Utilities. To much to expect a bit of joined up thinking from St Helens Council.

Thanks to the ham fisted actions of United Utilities and it's contractors, Springfield Road is now closed as it appears they've put too heavy a piece of their machinery on it and collapsed a sewer.... Don't worry, just stick any additional costs on to our water bills.
