A PUB will be converted to flats after St Helens Council approved a planning application for a new residential development.

The Cherry Tree Hotel on Fleet Lane, Parr will house 11 flats while a new building containing further 12 will be constructed alongside it. A former bookmakers building nearby will be demolished.

frankly says...

all these good old pub buildings going from our town.. Sad.. Never happened in the days when Greenalls/Walkers and Burtonwood Brewery had most of our pubs.. Town now has too many little bars, which used to be shops taking over.
