A TRIO of fork lift trucks worth £10,000 have gone missing from a storage warehouse at Sutton.

Two TCM FD40T9 models (serial numbers 1752 and 1757) and a Komatsu FD30 (serial number 42273) went missing between 3pm on Monday, June 16 and 2pm on Tuesday, June 17 from a Viridor warehouse in Lancots Lane.

Police were called to the site at 3.55pm on the Tuesday after a staff member discovered the vehicles were missing. The trucks were being stored at the warehouse which has since been upgraded to full-time security said Police.

An in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding the theft is continuing.

Detective Constable Andy Passey of St Helens CID, said: "The fork lifts are quite large vehicles and we believe someone may have seen them being taken along Lancots Lane or possibly Robins Lane. "As part of the appeal we have issued photographs of vehicles similar to the two types which were stolen.

"If people have seen any similar vehicles or think they may be being stored somewhere in their area, I would appeal to them to get in touch with us.

"We will act on all the information we receive."
