WHEN Jasmine Gorman pedalled off on Sunday’s Liverpool-to-Chester bike ride, she utilised her impressive sporting ability to raise funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Twelve-year-old Jasmine was accompanied on the testing route by her stepdad, keen cyclist Maurice Gorman, but the youngster is no stranger to taking part in endurance events.

The Cansfield High pupil from Garswood is a triathlon athlete, an English schools runner who has covered 100 metres in 12.4 seconds, swims five days a week with the Wigan Best Scheme of Excellence and loves playing rugby.

On top of that, the busy youngster has been picked to represent St Helens in the finals of the Miss Junior Teen GB competition in August.

“She only started modelling seriously in April and already has modelling contracts with Bizzykidz, Adora Models and TelentManagement,” said her proud mum Rachel Hickey, whose younger daughter, Poppy, is interested in acting
