A MAN in a wheelchair and his partner were subject to a barrage of abuse in what police are describing as a hate crime.
They were travelling along the canal path near Chalon Way at around 6.30pm on Thursday, June 12 when they were verbally abused by three males before they took off towards the nearby KFC restaurant.
Although they were uninjured the victims were left shaken and upset.
The offenders are described as white and in their mid to late teens. Two were wearing black coloured tracksuits and one was wearing a blue tracksuit. Anyone who may have seen the incident or who may recognise the description of the three offenders is asked to contact police.
