A DANCE music festival that could attract up to 3,000 visitors will be staged at Sherdley Park this summer, it has been confirmed.
The park, which formerly held the St Helens Show, will be the setting for a day and night of club classics on Saturday, September 13.
The Reminisce Club Classics Festival, which will run from at 2pm to 11pm, will be staged in two huge big tops that will be installed in the park.
Organisers say they will accommodate up to 3,000 people and aim to attract dance music fans from across the country, who will pay £40 a ticket.
Extra public transport could be put on to meet demand.
The festival is being organised and promoted by Big Room Promotions, with St Helens Council working with Merseyside Police and Merseytravel to ensure safety.
