THE Fir Tree Farm’s next farmers’ market looks set to go down a real buzz.
The event will be held between 9am and 1.30pm on Saturday, June 21 which is on the eve of National Insect Week and to mark the occasion there will be beehive demonstrations with live bees for families to enjoy.
Also, Alec the Moth Man, a leading insect expert, will be displaying specimen jars of recently-caught live butterflies and moths.
In addition, people can take part in the Abbotts’ popular woodland and organic orchard walks, with the guided tours to take place at 11am and 1-30pm.
And the popular pineapple and raspberry-flavoured strawberry plants along with woodland strawberries and strawberry hanging baskets will be available for fruit lovers.
