NURSERY children shrugged off the rain to enjoy a sponsored walk around Taylor Park lake to help street children in Africa.
Children, staff, parents and carers from Daydreams Nursery, which was recently judged as outstanding by Ofsted, joined Retrak fundraiser Kath Sheridan on the damp trek.
Kath said: “Retrak is a charity based in the north west which works with children who are sleeping on the streets, hungry, frightened and at risk and aims to return them to loving families.
“It works in five countries in Africa but relies on support from the north west to provide emergency shelter, food, medical care and education for children with nowhere else to turn.”
