A YOUNG man has been warned he faces a prison sentence after admitting robbery and burglary.
Philip Guy pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to robbing Patricia Highcock of a quantity of scratch cards on March 18 at Jay's Mini Mart in Wythburn Crescent, Carr Mill.
He denied another offence involving robbing a quantity of cash from Leanne Highcock at the same premises five days earlier but instead admitted burglary.
Guy, 21, of Green Leach Court, Haresfinch who has no similar robbery convictions, was told by Judge Denis Watson, QC: "These are serious matters and a custodial sentence is inevitable."
He was further remanded in custody to await sentence on July 7.
