THREE thousand people are expected to attend a family fun day and dog show at Taylor Park.

The Dogs Trust event is being held on Sunday, September 28 between 11am and 4pm and will provide funding for the Trust’s Merseyside branch which helps save and rehome animals.

Over 40 stalls, fairground rides and stalls, a penalty shoot out, arts and craft stalls, wax hand moulding, face painting and a popular dog show will feature at the event.

The dog show entry fee is £1.50 per class with prizes for the top dogs. Merseyside police dog handlers, fire service and Ian Griffith dog display team will feature alongside a barbecue, donkey rides, dog health checks and micro chipping service.

“The event is in its seventh year in the perfect setting of a Victorian park in Grosvenor Road and usually attracts around 3,000 people,” said the Trust’s events manager Adam Fraser.

“We already have a company sponsoring the dog show and those who show similar support for the event are welcome to have a stall free of charge.”
