SUTTON is going to the dogs a week on Saturday when canines will be the focal point at King George V playing fields in Jubits Lane.

Dog owners are invited to take along their pet for a series of free services including health checks, microchipping and nail clipping.

Fun competitions are also planned with prizes donated by Purina, Masterfoods and Tesco and trophies courtesy of Windlegrey Boarding Kennels.

The fun starts at noon on Saturday, June 21. For further details contact St. Helens Council’s Dog Welfare & Enforcement Team on 01744 676338.
