THREE people were taken to hospital following a crash involving three vehicles yesterday.
It happened on Mercer Street, Newton-le-Willows at about 3.10pm on Thursday.
The collision involved a blue Renault car, a grey Astra car and a white Renault van.
Firefighters helped paramedics in assisting a 57-year-old woman from the Renault car. She was taken to Warrington Hospital suffering suspected back pain.
A 56-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman passenger, who were also in the Renault car, were taken to Warrington Hospital suffering suspected back pain.
A 68-year-old male driver, who was in the Astra car, was taken to Warrington Hospital suffering suspected whiplash and shock.
The 59-year-old driver of the white van did not require hospital treatment.
Two fire appliances from Netwon-le-Willows and Eccleston community fire stations were called out along with the MF&RS Search and Rescue Team.
