THE strawberry ‘Fir’ will be a tasty attraction on Sunday at Alan and Edwina Abbott’s Kings Moss Farm.
The first Sunday in June is traditionally national open farm day and between 10am and 4pm Fir Tree Farm will be hosting celebrations.
Attractions include an array of strawberries to grow and eat including pineberries, franberries and Alpine strawberries, preserves, jams, pies, sponges and tarts.
Fir Tree Cafe will be selling strawberry ice cream, teas, scones and strawberries and cream.
Rainford Young Farmers will man a strawberry coconut shy, tractors and vintage machinery will be on display and families can meet Shetland ponies, cattle and Alpacas.
Admission free.
