THE Swimskool programmes for youngsters is set to increase to run across a full year.
St Helens Council says this will ensure that children’s learning is not interrupted, helping them to progress quicker.
It is hoped it will also reduce the waiting list with increased opportunities for beginners.
This change appears after customer consultation revealed that many customers recognised the benefits of changing to a full year programme.
Fees for single lessons will not change although the annual cost of swimming lessons will increase from September. A continuous programme of 50 lessons with a break for Christmas will begin on September 1 2014.
Anyone interested in enrolling at Swimskool can contact their local centre on 01744 677236 or visit sthelens.gov.uk/goactive for more details.
