A 22-YEAR-OLD man was found with serious head injuries on an M62 slip road in the early hours of the morning.
The man, believed to be a passenger in a taxi that was involved in an earlier crash, is in a critical condition hospital.
Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Huyton area earlier this morning (Thursday, 5 June).
Patrols were called at about 2.35am following a report of a crash on the slip road off junction 5 westbound (Liverpool-bound) of the M62.
Emergency services found the man in the road.
The injured man is believed to have been a passenger in a black Hackney cab when the incident happened.
The taxi driver is assisting officers with their enquiries. No one has been arrested.
The Liverpool-bound slip road remains cordoned off at this time whilst forensic examinations are carried out. The main carriageway of the M62 is unaffected.
