Managing director James Waddington said: “I am thrilled with the transformation.

“We have based this design on one of our other pubs, the Grapes at Goosnargh - which is performing really well.

“The investment has given us the opportunity to revitalise the Derby Arms, by offering good quality cask ales and home-made food along with a warm, welcoming family-friendly atmosphere.”

Punch Taverns’ Partnership Development Manager, Stephen Lafferty added: “We want to reposition the Derby Arms as one of the leading pubs for great drinks and destination dining in Rainford and the surrounding areas and everyone is really pleased with the transformation.”
