IT’S e-asy, reckons thrilled Newton Library regular Jennifer Cain.

Jennifer, pictured right, with her son Sam and head of library services Sue Williamson is celebrating, after she won a new e-reader in a competition to launch the borough’s new e-books service.

The Dell Venue Pro 8 was top prize in a draw open to customers at the borough’s 13 libraries.

The e-book service allows access to local libraries from anywhere via sthelens.gov.uk/ebooks and works with the majority of phones, tablets and e-readers.

Customers can borrow up to five e-books, with up to 1,000 titles available for all ages. Library membership, which is free, is required.

There is no late fine or charge for e-books – the book simply disappears – but they can be renewed.
