A 20-YEAR-OLD man who stole goods from cars during a series of overnight break ins has been sentenced to a six month curfew.
The Star reported earlier this week how a number of vehicles outside homes in Percival Way were targeted through the early hours of Monday.
Police arrested James Beirne on Tuesday on suspicion of theft.
Appearing before St Helens Magistrates’ Court, he admitted three counts of stealing sat nav systems and that on one occasion he also stole £60 cash. Beirne also pleaded guilty to cannabis possession.
He was placed under a curfew between 8pm and 7am when he must remain at his home address on Cooper Street, St Helens.
