STAR darts player Michael Smith will be at Cowley International College next Wednesday night at an exhibition that will highlight the skills of 11-16 year-olds who are talented members of Cowley’s Darts Club.

Smith stunned the darts world in 2013 when he knocked 16-times champion Phil Taylor out of the Ladbrokes World Darts competition.

On May 21 from 7pm darters will descend on the auditroium at Cowley and Smith will play friendlies against students and guests in addition to inter-students matches.

Exhibition organiser David Raines explained: "Darts is fantastic for honing maths skills, the game itself is 33 per cent maths, if you cannot count you cannot win!

“The Darts Club at Cowley has really taken off in the last year and we are sure that Michael’s visit will have a fantastic impact. He has an inspiring story to tell and is incredibly talented."
