Pedestrian hurt in Haydock collision
A PEDESTRIAN aged in his 50s has suffered head injuries in a collision involving three vehicles this morning near Haydock industrial estate.
The incident happened this morning on Millfield Lane, Haydock at about 7am.
The man has been taken to Fazakerly Hospital with serious injuries, said a police spokesman.
It appears the man was in collision with a van, although reports suggests three vehicles were involved.
The road is currently closed.
Police and ambulance crews were both called to the scene.
A police spokesman added: "The man is aged in his 50s and has a head injury. Initial reports are that he was involved in a collision.
"Officers are still at the scene."
