A TEAM of 25 fundraisers will tackle the ascent of the highest mountain in Wales to raise funds in memory of a father man who died from a rare illness.
Neale Moulsdale, from Islands Brow, was only 46 when he died in 2007, just three weeks after becoming poorly. Now his family and friends are heading up Snowdon to raise funds for the charity Vasculitis UK.
His daughter, 26-year-old Natalie Moulsdale, told the Star: “My dad passed away with vasculitis (PAN) polyarteritis nosda which is a very rare form that affects blood vessels, muscles, skin, nerves and causes organ failure.
"The form of Vasculitis my dad had affects just three in 100,000 people a year.
”My dad died after being ill for three weeks, no one knew what it was.”
Natalie, who works at Waterfield’s confectioners at Fingerpost, will lead the group having previously been part of fundraising challenges for the same charity.
In 2012 she was among family and friends who completed a 22 mile walk to Southport and last year she staged a hallowe’en fancy dress party at Blackbrook ARLFC.
In the past two years she has raised £3,200 and hope to raise a further £4,000 from the May 24 event.
