WORLD renowned artist Jaume Plensa who created the St Helens icon Dream has praised a new set of artworks featuring the sculpture.

The dramatic light images which appeared in the Star last month were the handiwork of St Helens artists Neal Moran, Chris Conway and Neil Isherwood.

Using Dream as the backdrop, they created individual pieces of work which captured Jaume’s imagination.

Gary Conley who was one of those responsible for bringing Jaume to St Helens said: “I absolutely love it and for me it’s Dream inspiring the next generation to have ownership by putting their own creative stamp on it.”

He sent the Star’s story to Jaime who responded: “It is very interesting to me to see how other artists are interacting with Dream.

“For me quite simply it is beautiful.”
