A FILM maker is aiming to make Dream one of the stars of her latest project, but needs public help to get her movie off the ground.

Claire Elshaw’s latest venture is based on a fictional tale of two people seeking escape from the ‘digital world’ at the St Helens beauty spot. To make her dream a reality the 32-year-old from Warrington has turned to a scheme called crowd sourcing where people can donate money towards projects in return for a range of exclusive gifts from free tickets to downloads and even in some cases walk on parts.

She explained: “This film is about a set of contrasting circumstances, personalities and outlooks on life. It’s also a film about the power of location and nature. We want to tell a modern and exciting story while also showcasing some of the talent in the north west as well as some fantastic scenery.

“It’s going to be difficult to get someone to give you £2,000. Then someone suggested crowd funding as a way of putting lots of little bits of funding together.”
