AN investigation has been launched following the discovery of a cannabis farm on Blackbrook Road.
Officers were called to the property just after 7.35pm on Tuesday (April 29) where they found a small number of plants along with growing equipment.
They are now working alongside colleagues from the Matrix Serious and Organised Crime Cannabis Dismantling Team to carry out a full examination of the premises.
Chief Inspector Martin Woosey said: "Cannabis is an extremely damaging drug and its growth in our communities can lead to other crimes being committed.
"I want to take this opportunity to reassure people in the Blackbrook area that we will carry on working hard to crackdown on any form of drug dealing or drug supply.
"We will always act on any information that we receive and I would appeal to anyone who sees any suspicious activity, or believes cannabis is being grown in their area, to call us and report it.
Call officers via the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
