CLASSES are being held for adults who cannot cycle or feel a little rusty about their skills.

St Helens Council’s Learn to Ride is part of a campaign to get more people across the town pedalling.

The classes have been tailored for adults and will take place at Bold Miners Neighbourhood Centre, Fleet Lane, Parr on Sunday.

The sessions will run in the morning from 10am and in the afternoon from 1.30pm.

The itinerary is: 10am: Learn To Ride – learn to ride a bike for adults who have not been able to until now.

10am: National Standards Level 1 Cycle Training – basic cycle skills training for adults who feel a little rusty on a bike and would like a refresher.

1.30pm: National Standards Level 2 Cycle Training – basic on-road cycle skills training for adults who would like to learn how to handle modern roads. This session is taught entirely on-road.

Bikes and helmets can be provided free of charge for the session. Places are limited, so booking is essential.
