THE search is on for girls and boys who believe they have the talent to take part in the award-winning Phoenix Youth Theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Open auditions for 11-18 year-olds are being held on Saturday and Sunday April 26 and 27 (between 1pm and 4pm) at St Thomas’ Church, Westfield Street. Girls need to perform either I Don’t Know How To Love Him or Could We Start Again Please and boys should prepare to perform either Heaven On Their Minds or Pilate’s Dream which are songs from the hit show.
The Phoenix production of Jesus Christ Superstar will be staged in September at St Helens Theatre Royal.
The last Phoenix production of The Phantom of the Opera scooped five awards at the recent National Operatic and Dramatic Association Awards including the award for Best Youth Production 2013.
