CYCLISTS of all ages are being encouraged to get on their bikes like smiling duo Billy and Zak who are enjoying the newly provided storage facilities for two wheelers at the Shining Lights Community Centre within the grounds of Sutton Manor Primary School.
The school and the centre are working with Sustrans, the national charity that promotes cycling, walking and sustainable travel.
St Helens Council’s Cabinet Member Councillor Richard McCauley said: “We’re making it as easy as possible for people to use their bikes. The health and environmental benefits of cycling are beyond doubt.”
The new facilities have been funded by the Department for Transport’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund and installed by St Helens Council.
