THE town's newest hostelry The Glass Horse, a £3.3m, 300 seater pub restaurant in Sherdley Road opens tomorrow (Thursday, April 10).
The Glass Horse is the latest and largest of The Hungry Horse group's chain of 220 pub diners nationwide.
The family orientated Glass Horse has up to the minute features, including booths with televisions and an indoor area where younger customers can play Xbox and Playstation games.
There us also an outdoor play area, beer garden and bar which together can accommodate a further 300 customers.
The varied menu includes everything from prime steaks to curries, vegetarian and children's meals. Satellite sport channels and pool plus a bar area for over 18s, live entertainment and poker are also part of the experience.
Ninety per cent of the staff,which consists of 54 full and 68 part time employees, are from the St Helens area.
General manager Richard Johnson said: “We provide big value food and drink and a family dining experience.”
