NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM FOR PARR ! one of the lowest grossing council tax paying areas and our Boroughs unofficial capital.

Rainhill library? 3rd highest council tax payer? Grout the flags and let it rot.

Socialism , the worlds greatest evil. Now can I have an ipad please?

Barrie, Whatever your views Socialism isn't the greatest evil and many would point out that the reason this country is now so shot to pieces is the way Global Capitalism (IMF, Banksters, LIBOR and other economic scandals ) etc has behaved in the run up to the banking crash and since. I would count Genocide and War Crimes being much worse and far greater evils than either Socialism or Capitalism but there you go.
As Cllr Grunewald is a Councillor for the Rainhill Ward you would think that he would be trying to get a better deal for Rainhill. We all know there is an inequitable distribution of financial resources across the Borough and some wards do get more money spent on them. Rainhill has a Parish Council (in other words its extra ring fenced money for the area) and Parr doesn't so perhaps you need to look at where that money is going on too. If you asked the people of Newton and Earlestown what they thought, they would consider themselves to be the poor relation in terms of council spending too.

Capitalism has fed and clothed more people than socialism ever will.

Perhaps I should have refereed to it as "our local brand of socialism" . Like you say , the municipal butter is not spread evenly. As for the Parish council , they are also a waste of time. Where all the money goes is anybodies guess , because none get spent here.
